Safety & Health

Is this safe to take with medication?

Always speak to your GP or pharmacist before adding any supplement to your routine if you are currently taking prescription medication. This applies to One A Day as it does to any supplement. Two specific interactions worth flagging: vitamin K2 can interact with anticoagulant medications such as warfarin, and iodine can affect thyroid medication such as levothyroxine. If you are taking either of these, consult your doctor before use.

Does One A Day affect blood pressure?

One A Day contains vitamins and minerals at standard nutritional doses and is not associated with major blood pressure changes in healthy adults. If you have high blood pressure, a diagnosed cardiovascular condition, or are taking any related medication, speak to your GP before starting any new supplement. They are best placed to advise based on your personal health profile.

Does One A Day affect the liver?

One A Day is formulated using vitamins and minerals at standard nutritional doses, all within established safe ranges for healthy adults. If you have a pre-existing liver condition, are taking medication that affects the liver, or have any concerns about liver health, consult your GP or pharmacist before use.

Is it suitable for vegans?

Yes, One A Day is 100% vegan. The capsule shell is made from HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), not gelatin. The vitamin D3 is sourced from lichen, not lanolin (sheep's wool), which is the source used by most D3 supplements on the market. There are no animal-derived ingredients of any kind in this formula.

Does it contain any of the UK 14 allergens?

No. One A Day is free from all of the UK's 14 major allergens. It contains no gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, fish, shellfish, celery, mustard, sesame, lupin, molluscs, sulphites, or eggs. It is also free from gelatin, GMO ingredients, titanium dioxide, and artificial colours. The full ingredient list is printed on every bottle.

Is it safe to take long-term?

One A Day is designed for consistent daily use over the long term. It is a food supplement containing vitamins and minerals at standard nutritional doses, not a pharmaceutical product. As with any supplement, food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose. If you have any concerns about long-term use, speak to your GP.
