Protocol Assets Explained

Actions

Actions are the core building blocks of your protocol. They are specific, practical things you do as part of your daily routine.

Each action is chosen because it creates direct change on the protocol topic. Actions are designed to be completed in the relevant time block of your day.

Your library includes a Top 7 Recommended Actions (the highest-impact picks) and a Full Actions Library (everything available in your protocol).

Journals

Journals are structured writing exercises built around your protocol topic.

They are practical, not therapeutic. The goal is clarity, reflection, and reinforcement — not processing emotions.

Use them in your Evening Reflection block or whenever the protocol suggests journalling. Your library includes a Top 7 Journals and the full collection.

Meditations

Meditations in MenTools: Daily Protocol are all 3 minutes long.

They are short, focused, and practical. They are not relaxation exercises — they are mental tools for strengthening the thinking patterns tied to your protocol topic.

Use them at the time block they are assigned to. Your library includes a Top 7 Meditations and the full collection.

Timers

Timers are timed execution tools. They give you a structured time window to complete a specific action or practice.

Use timers when you need a defined start and end point for an activity. They are especially useful for actions that benefit from focused, uninterrupted work.

MaxOut Actions

MaxOut Actions are high-intensity versions of standard actions. They are designed for days when you want to push harder.

When you complete a MaxOut Action, the app records your max score. This is separate from your standard daily action.

Note: A MaxOut Action is different from a MaxOut Challenge. See Challenge Types Explained for the distinction.

Challenges

Challenges are structured goal-setting tools built into your protocol.

Every protocol includes 3 challenges. There are two types: Set Challenges and MaxOut Challenges.

Challenges run alongside your daily routine. They are not the whole protocol — they are one part of it. See Challenge Types Explained for a full breakdown.

Tracking PDFs

Tracking PDFs are printable worksheets and record tools tied to your protocol topic.

Use them to track progress, record scores, or work through a structured exercise outside the app.

Your protocol includes a Top 5 Tracking PDFs and a Full Tracking PDFs Library.

Emergency Reset

Emergency Reset tools are for the hardest moments — urges, spirals, panic, boredom relapse, or sudden loss of control.

Not all protocols include Emergency Reset. When it is included, it means the protocol topic specifically requires rapid interruption tools.

Emergency Reset actions are: short, fast, physical, and usable under stress. They are not reflective exercises — they are pattern-interrupt tools.

Your protocol will include a Top 7 Emergency Reset Actions and a Full Emergency Reset Library when this block is enabled.

Course

Your protocol includes a course that guides you deeper into the topic.

The course is structured across your 7-day rollout. One course action per day in your first week. After that, you can continue at your own pace.

The course is built to complement the practical side of the protocol — not replace it.
